Operating System Support
ResNet's goal is to have as many students as possible connected to the network. We understand that each student's PC may vary greatly from the next. In order to provide the best support possible, ResNet only provides full support for Windows 10 (v22H2) and Windows 11 (v23H2 or higher), as well as macOS 13 (Ventura) or higher.
Levels of Support
Fully Supported: ResNet provides full technical support; meaning help connecting and staying connected to the network, Windows update support, virus removal support, spyware removal support, and general PC troubleshooting.
Not Supported: ResNet provides no support to help students connect to the network. These operating systems will still be able to connect to the network, however ResNet will not assist with any issues.
Not Allowed: Under no circumstances will machines running these operating systems be allowed to connect to the Marist network or internet. No support provided.

ResNet fully supports Windows 10 (v22H2) and Windows 11 (v23H2 or higher), as well as macOS 13 (Ventura) or higher. This means that our techs will provide troubleshooting support in order to connect you to the network. It is our goal to connect all supported computers to the network, and ensure they stay connected. ResNet will also provide general troubleshooting support and help removing viruses and spyware.
ResNet will not provide support for Linux. This means that computers running a Linux operating system may or may not be able to successfully connect to the Marist network. If you are running Linux and are having difficulties, it is recommended you upgrade your operating system to one that ResNet supports.
Computers running Windows 8.1, 8.0, 7, Vista, XP, and all versions of macOS less than 13 are NOT allowed on the Marist network. ResNet will not provide technical support for these operating systems, and you will not be able to access the Marist network or internet. These operating systems are no longer supported and Microsoft/Apple will not be releasing any future security updates for these operating systems. In order to keep the Marist network secure for all users, computers running these operating systems will not be allowed on the network.
ResNet is here to help all students with computer problems. This not only means residential students, but also adult students and commuters. If you have any questions or concerns about these policies, you are encouraged to contact ResNet.
