The Giving Tree Project is a 30-year old tradition that spreads holiday cheer and encourages connection to the local community. Through the generosity of the Marist community, the Giving Tree Project has gifted more than 20,000 presents to local families in need.

Students who want to participate can find Giving Trees in Dyson Center, Donnelly Hall, Lowell Thomas, Fontaine Hall, Hancock Center, the Champagnat Breezeway, the James A. Cannavino Library and the MPorium store in Steel Plant. To contribute to the project, select a paper ornament from the tree, purchase and wrap your gift, and bring the gift with the ornament attached to the drop-off location in the Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Chapel.

All gifts are due by Sunday, Dec. 8, at 6:30 p.m. The Giving Tree ceremony will be held at 7:20 p.m. in the chapel. Photos by Carlo de Jesus/Marist College.

The Greek Advisory Council hosted a sold-out, standing-room-only event where six students competed for the title of Mr. Marist while also raising money for charity. The winner selects the charity to receive the donation. This year’s winner, Andrew D’Amico '27, chose the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which works to end veteran homelessness. The foundation provides mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and builds specially adapted smart homes for injured veterans and first responders.
