Why this looks valid
- The email is branded to make it look like a Microsoft Application notification
- Many people use tools for signing documents and this message is similar to alerts from those systems
- The email may seem to be from a Marist account
- The email may have personalized details in the body of the message

- The link does not go a Marist website or known college service

- This is an extremely dangerous phishing attempt. If you clicked on this link and filled in your credentials, please contact the Help Desk immediately at x4357 (HELP) or helpdesk@marist.edu.
- Do you see the fine print? It says to contact your "email administrator" with any questions. Honestly, we can't give you better adivce than that! If you are unsure about services provided in Office365 and get an email referring to a service you have never seen or used, reach out to Marist IT and ask about it
- Remember: always check the link. You can hover over the link in the email to ensure that it going to a valid service.
- Report this message to Microsoft. In Outlook on the Web, click the Junk menu, and select Phishing.
- A little paranoia goes a long way! Be suspicious of any email messages similar to this one.
