Morgan took the reins at The Blaze, Glenn Beck’s online presence, in January of 2011 and has helped build it into a vibrant destination for conservative news, opinion, and politics. Before this, Morgan ran the left-leaning The Huffington Post and built one of the most well established communities on the web, raising unique viewers from 4 million to 22 million per month. Morgan created new content verticals, brought on a large group of well-known bloggers, and led the Huffington Post to become the most linked-to site on the web.

Before joining The Huffington Post, Morgan was Senior Vice President for CBS Interactive and the General Manager of CBSNews.com. She also served as Vice President for CBS News, overseeing business development, digital media, and new television ventures. Morgan has previously worked for American Sky Broadcasting and for several years in investment banking for the media and entertainment industries.

Among other posts, Morgan serves on the advisory board for the Poynter Institute for Media and the board of trustees for Colby College, where she earned a BA in political science. Morgan also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a past president for the New York Women in Communications.

Following a moderated Q&A session, Morgan will answer questions from the audience. The event will be moderated by Keith Strudler, associate professor of communication and director for the Marist College Center for Sports Communication.
