Message from the Criminal Justice Summer Pre-College Director

Welcome to Marist and our Criminal Justice Pre-College Summer Program. Here you will learn in the classroom and in the field all about the diverse and complex system of Criminal Justice in America. I am a former NYPD Captain and have worked with multiple local, state, and federal agencies for over 20 years and am currently a full-time Associate Professor and Chair of the Criminal Justice department here at Marist.  

There are wonderful field trips planned that will grant insight into the rich field of criminal justice. You will also have the opportunity to develop an individual project that will allow you to dig deeper and learn more about the field of criminal justice. Presentations at the end of the session will showcase your work and allow you to learn more from your peers.

Pre-College is also about immersing yourself in the college experience and Marist is a wonderful place for this. A beautiful location on the Hudson River, plenty of athletic facilities, world-class library, and state-of-the-art technology resources will all enhance your experience.
