Marist Pre-PA Society’s (MPPAS) mission is to act as a unifying resource, guiding and supporting Pre-PA students on their path and educating interested students of any major about the profession. We host many informational meetings, usually in collaboration with Marist PA Program students, to educate them about preparation for PA school, the application process, and what being a PA student is like. Some of our meetings include a “Suture Night,” where every member gets their own kit, a tour and Q&A session with Marist PA students, and other workshops and bonding events like CASPA, Interview Prep, or Medical Jeopardy.

Club Leadership

President: Olivia Gesler ‘25

  • Main club representative to coordinate meeting times for board members and club events. Leads club meetings and delegates tasks as necessary.
  • Acts as main liaison for MPPAS and Marist PA Program.

Vice President: Duru Ozcan ‘25

  • Assists president’s duties, confirms date and location for meeting times, and in charge of physical club materials.

Secretary of Internal Affairs: Jaime Matthew ‘27

  • Monitors attendance, completes priority point reports, manages Club Dash, in charge of email correspondence.

Secretary of External Affairs: Alexa Abrams ‘26

  • Main communicator with other Marist clubs and organizations such as the School of
    Science, Student Government Association, DEM, and more.
  • Also in charge of email correspondence.

Treasurer: Evelyn Sullivan ‘25

  • Responsible for all financial duties within the club, such as managing the club budget and ordering necessary supplies or food for meetings.

Social Media Chair: Amelia Smith ‘25

  • Runs our instagram account and helps enhance communication with our members.
  • Makes frequent posts, reminders, and stories on Instagram as well as managing in-app messaging.

Community Service Manager: Kelly Danaj ’25

  • Manages our community service projects, such as our annual gift basket fundraiser of the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, as well as hosting blood drives or supporting other clubs on campus like the St. Jude fundraising club.

Meeting Times

We have meetings once a month (usually Tuesdays) in Donnelly 225. Information regarding meeting times, dates, and locations can be found on our Instagram. We also keep our members informed via email if you are subscribed to our email list.

Earn Priority Points through Clubs and Activities

To earn one (1) point: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 50% of club/organization activities.

To earn two (2) points: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 75% of club/organization activities PLUS the community service event.

To earn three (3) points (executive board only): Officers must attend 50% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club activities including community service. If executive board members do not complete all of the requirements to earn three points, they will be eligible to receive up to two points based on the above criteria.
