Minor in Enterprise Computing
The Enterprise Computing minor is a six course, 21-credit sequence that provides students with a broad technical understanding and basic skills in large scale, enterprise computing. Enterprise computing is characterized by the magnitude of the data processing involved measured in the number of end users serviced, the raw computing power or the number of transactions.
This program is especially appropriate for computer science majors interested in mainframe technology which is the platform of choice for industries such as telecommunications, banking/finance, insurance, and government. The minor will prepare students for employment in these industries requiring theoretical knowledge and skill-based proficiencies in system programming, hardware, data communications, data management, and systems/software analysis and design.
