Making Purchases with Professional Development Funds

Purchases of computers and related peripherals using Professional Development (PD) funds can be arranged through the campus Computer Store, via phone or email. The PD Funds Purchasing Form must be completed, including the approval from the appropriate School Dean, before the Computer Store can process the order. This form is available for download below. For equipment to be tagged and eligible for PD funds reimbursement, it must be purchased through the Computer Store and it must be a Marist-supported model. Currently supported Lenovo models for 2024-2025 are the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook in black, ThinkPad T14s laptop, ThinkPad T16 laptop, ThinkPad P16 laptop and ThinkCentre M90a Desktop with Touch or no Touch and 23.8 inch HD monitor. Since these models are so new, the Client Technologies team is currently working on engineering the Marist software image for their hard drives. You may purchase a machine now; however, it will not be deployed to you until the image is ready, which will likely be mid-July. Currently, There is no image fee charge. This includes the operating system, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, McAfee security software, and device encryption. Any computer equipment purchased with PD funds is Marist College property. Computer equipment purchased with PD funds will be supported by Marist IT for the duration of the warranty.
