Post Office
The mission of the Marist College Post Office is to provide the community with efficient processing and distribution of its mail and packages.
The Marist Post Office is not a contract station operated by the U.S Postal Service, but we must follow many of the regulations of the U.S. Postal Service when processing our mail.
Location / Service Hours
Location
We are located on the Second floor of the Student Center. Go to the Champagnat breezeway and take the stairs or elevator to the second floor.

Addressing of Incoming Mail & On-Campus Mail
To ensure you receive the most accurate delivery of your mail, please use the following address format.

Mail Delivery & Pick Up for Administrative Offices
Incoming mail and on-campus mail is delivered to the administrative offices twice a day. Mail carriers leave for their deliveries approximately 10:00 a.m. and again at 1:00 p.m. During these deliveries all outgoing mail is picked up and returned to the Marist Post Office for processing. Please follow these requirements when preparing your outgoing mail for pick up.
- Separate on-campus mail from outgoing mail
- Separate mail with stamps and mail that requires no postage.
- Separate mail with special services (ex. certified, Priority, Overnight ect.)
- Outgoing mail should have a return address with your department name
- Mail that requires metering (postage) needs to be separate as follows:
- Domestic Mail (mailed in the U.S.)
- International Mail
- Letters
- Flats
You are required to call the Marist Post Office (ext. 2131) and request the proper containers for any large mailings. We will not accept any mailings in boxes, bags ect.
Examples:
- 500 letters or more your request would be for letter trays
- Large mailings of flats, booklets, ect., your request would be for mail buckets.
- Please call ext. 2131 if you have any questions.

*The MSC number is an individual number assigned to students that live on-campus to ensure mail and packages are delivered correctly. If the MSC number is not available, please make sure the address contains the student’s First name and Last name.
Mail Delivery
First Class Mail (Letters, Postcards) are delivered daily to all student mailboxes by 2:00 p.m. Magazines and advertisement mail are delivered later in the day. Saturday mail deliveries are limited to First Class Mail only.
For security reason we do not deliver mail over the counter. So please bring your mail key with you when coming to the Post Office for your mail.
Receiving of Packages
When the following items are sent to a student:
- Overnight Letters
- UPS and FedEx packages
- U.S. Postal Service parcels, mailbags, certified mail etc
An electronic package notification will be sent to the student’s Marist e-mail address. Saturday deliveries are limited to Express Mail and Priority Mail packages only.
Mailing of Letters and Packages
At our service counter you can purchase stamps, mail packages and send overnight mail. You can purchase mailing supplies like envelopes, shipping boxes and bubble wrap. We only accept cash or Marist Money for the payment of these services.
You can only mail items off campus Monday through Friday. Please bring any items you would like to mail to the Marist Post Office by 3:30 p.m.
