WEPA
What is WEPA?
WEPA is a cloud-based printing solution that is available for Marist students. Students will be able to print from a lab or classroom computer, their mobile devices, a personal computer, cloud-based storage locations, or a USB drive from any of the available WEPA printing kiosks. You can read more about printing in any of these ways by going to Campus Cloud Printing Technology. Please note: At this time we do not have printing from your LMS (Brightspace) enabled.
How do I print from a Marist lab or classroom computer?
To print from a Marist lab or classroom computer, start to print your file as you normally would. The print selection will default to print a duplex file to WEPA. Select print, then a pop-up box in the lower right-hand corder of the screen will appear asking for your Marist account and password. You must be signed in to WEPA in order to complete your print request. Once you sign in, the file will be sent to WEPA. Then find the nearest kiosk, swipe your Marist ID Card, and release your print job.
Do I have to print from a Marist computer?
No, you can also print from your personal computer, mobile devices, a USB drive, Google Drive, Office 365, OneDrive, Dropbox, and Box.
To print from your personal computer or a mobile device, visit WEPA's Print Software page. Select whether it is a Desktop (including laptops) or Mobile. Then use the drop-down menu to find the appropriate driver or app.
To print from a cloud-based location, just go to any WEPA kiosk, swipe your ID CARD, and choose which location your file is in. Then follow the prompts to get your file and print it. You may also review Cloud Storage from WEPA's website for more details and information.
Where are the WEPA kiosks located?
WEPA kiosks are located in:
- Allied Health (2nd floor)
- Donnelly Hall (adjacent to Card Services)
- Dyson (1st floor and 4th floor)
- Fontaine (in the Lobby)
- Hancock (lower level across from the elevator)
- Library (opposite the main desk)
- Lowell Thomas (in the Lobby)
- Student Center (adjacent to the SGA office)
You can also download the free WEPA Print app and open it, then go to the main menu and select Find the nearest print station and a map of nearby kiosks and statuses will be displayed.
To print from one of the kiosks, we recommend you use WEPA Express. This allows you to print easily without touching the print screen. With the WEPA Mobile App, you can print files from your phone or cloud storage. Select your file(s) to release and all you have to do is tap your phone or swipe your ID card to release your documents.
You can also swipe your Marist ID Card or enter your Marist account and password at the kiosk and release your file from the touchscreen.
Can I print in color? What about different sizes of paper, like legal?
The WEPA kiosks print only in black & white. If a student chooses to print a document in color they will be unable to submit the print job. Students can go to the Digital Publication Center in Donnelly to print something in color if needed. The WEPA kiosks only print letter-sized (8 1/2" x 11") paper. Students should ensure their print jobs are set to print this size.
What is the fund balance I see? How can I add funds if I run out?
The fund balance shows you what funds you have left to use for printing. Every student will be issued an initial allowance of $25.00 in their fund balance for printing. This is equivalent to 312 single-sided or 156 duplex sheets of paper. When the balance drops below $8.00, it will automatically be replenished to $8.00 during the academic year. You do not need to add funds at this time.
WEPA tips
Here are some tips for using WEPA.
Print only what is necessary.
If you need more than one copy of a document, print one copy and photocopy the original.
Large documents or files should be downloaded or emailed to avoid tying up the printer.
If you need help with this, please consult a Help Desk team member.
If you do need to print a large document, schedule it for a non-peak time to minimize printer use.
Retrieve your printed documents promptly after printing.
Make sure you LOG OFF at the kiosk after printing your documents.
If your document does not immediately appear at the printer, do not reprint the document immediately but wait briefly as it may be processing another user’s request.
If there are printing issues, you can contact WEPA support at 1-800-675-7639 or chat tech support at support.wepanow.com.
