Christopher Reck
Professional Lecturer of Finance
Bio
Chris joined the Marist faculty upon his retirement from IBM in June 2019. While at IBM, he served as CFO for a number of the company’s largest and most strategic business units. His most recent roles include CFO of IBM North America, CFO of IBM Analytics, and Assistant Corporate Controller. Earlier in his career, Chris was the controller for IBM’s server manufacturing and product development facilities in Dublin, Ireland, and Poughkeepsie, New York.
Throughout his business career, Chris was active in executing acquisitions and divestitures, launching partnerships, incubating new business units, and driving process and cultural transformations. He was selected to serve on IBM’s Financial Policy Committee and on IBM’s Growth & Transformation Team.
Beyond his teaching responsibilities, Chris serves on the Board of Directors of a privately-held company. He and his wife are avid hikers and college hockey enthusiasts. They reside in Dutchess County, New York and have two adult daughters.
