Bio
Dr. Ibrahim (Abe’s) Shaikh's research focuses on how strategic leaders can use technological innovation to establish a more inclusive, fair, and sustainable form of capitalism. Before joining Marist College, he was an Associate Professor of Management at UNB-Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Dr. Shaikh uses open social innovation and experiential education to teach strategic management and entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He encourages his students to apply the theories they learn to tackle real-world societal challenges, such as climate change, affordable housing, and Indigenous rights, by collaborating with societal stakeholders and developing region-specific business models that benefit the local ecosystem.
