Brooke DiPalma had just turned 14 when her father, Joseph, dropped her off at school one day in West Islip, New York.

For the eighth consecutive year, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance has included Marist on its list of the country’s best values in private colleges, where the College moved up four spots to 58th.
