Bio

Elizabeth Young, MS, PA-C has been part of the Physician Assistant Program since the inaugural class entered in 2016. Initially an Adjunct Instructor in 2016, she soon began full time work with the program in 2017 as a Clinical Assistant Professor and accepted the additional role of Clinical Coordinator in 2018. In 2023, Elizabeth was named the Assistant Program Director of the Physician Assistant Department. Elizabeth obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and pre-medicine studies with summa cum laude honors from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, in Steubenville, OH in 1998, her Physician Assistant certificate from St. Anthony’s Catholic Medical Centers in Queens, NY in 2001, and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Education and Leadership from A. T. Still University in Mesa, AZ in 2017.

She also brings her 17 years of clinical and leadership work experience as the Director of Physician Assistants in the field of Interventional Radiology to the program. Prior teaching experience includes guest lectures at Clarkson University and Touro Medical College. Elizabeth lives with her husband and family in Hopewell Junction, NY. In her free time, Elizabeth actively volunteers her time as Chief Operations Officer of two non-profit organizations serving thousands of teens in the Catholic Church.
