Advisory Committee on Campus Security

Pursuant to Education Law Section 129-A, Marist maintains an Advisory Committee on Campus Security, with membership appointed by student government, faculty governance, and the President. The Advisory Committee is tasked with reviewing current campus security policies and procedures, and making recommendations for their improvement, regarding sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, bias and hate crimes; personal safety and crime prevention; reporting of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and hate crimes, and assisting victims during investigations; referrals to appropriate authorities; counseling victims; and responding to inquiries from concerned persons. The Committee reports its findings to the President each academic year, and such reports are available upon request.
