Warranties, Insurance and Accident Protection
On Campus
Lenovo - T14s, T16 and X1 Carbon supported by Marist College and purchased through the TPU program
The base 3-year manufacturer's warranty only covers manufacturer's defects and does NOT cover accidental damage including spills, drops, abuse or negligence.
- 3 Year Manufacturer's Warranty included in cost (covers defects or failure of components)
- Recommended - Add 4th Year to Manufacturer's Warranty AND 4 Years of Accidental Damage Protection
- Premier Bundle
- T14s and T16 cost: $242
- P16s cost: $250
- X1 Carbon cost: $309
- Premier support is Lenovo Advanced 24 x 7 x 365 Onsite support, covers both software and hardware with Uber like tracking. For more information on Lenovo Premier support go to Lenonvo.com/support
- All repairs performed by Marist ResNet Department in Donnelly Hall by certified Lenovo technicians
- A ThinkPad loaner laptop is provided for lengthy repairs while the student is on campus
Apple
- 1 Year Manufacturer's Warranty plus AppleCare+, to extend the Manufacturer's Warranty to 3 Years, are included in cost of laptop (covers defects or failure of components)
- Manufacturer repairs performed by Marist ResNet Department in Donnelly Hall by Apple certified technicians
- Accidental Protection is now provided by Apple - See additional information on the Apple website
All other laptops
- ResNet will diagnose problems to the best of their ability
- If it is a problem such as a virus or spyware, ResNet can assist the with problem
- If the problem is diagnosed as a hardware issue the student must contact the manufacturer or vendor where the laptop was purchased. ResNet CANNOT repair laptops other than Lenovo or Apple. ResNet technicians are not certified for other brands and it would invalidate the warranty on the laptop
