March 18, 2025 — Marist’s second annual Day of Giving, set for Wednesday, March 26, is a chance for the entire Red Fox community to come together and make a lasting impact. Every gift—no matter the size—helps fuel student success, strengthen programs, and expand opportunities.

Leading the way in this collective effort, a unique milestone challenge from the University’s Board of Trustees will release additional funds for the Marist Fund with every 1,000 donors who give throughout the day, multiplying the power of each contribution and making every donor’s gift go further and inspiring even more support for Marist.

“Marist’s Day of Giving is a powerful example of what we can accomplish when we come together with a shared purpose," said Trustee Patrick M. Lavelle '73/P'02. "The Board of Trustees is proud to support this effort by issuing challenges that inspire alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends to give back in meaningful ways. Every contribution helps fuel the future of Marist—enhancing the student experience, expanding opportunities, and strengthening the University for generations to come.”

With a goal of 4,000 Day of Giving donors, the Marist community has the chance to unlock multiple rounds of funding while supporting the areas they care about most. And that’s not all—additional challenges throughout the day will provide even more ways to increase the impact of your donation.

Key Challenges

Trustees Challenge
For every 1,000 donors who give, the Board of Trustees will release additional funds for the Marist Fund, amplifying the power of each gift. Check back on March 26 to see just exactly how much the BOT will unlock!

Parents Challenge
The Parents Council will unlock a $50,000 gift once 700 parent donors contribute, offering a major boost to the Marist Fund and the student experience!

Senior Class Challenge
When 250 seniors participate in the Senior Class Legacy Challenge, an additional $1,000 will be added to the Marist Fund. Special incentives, including a Class of 2025 sticker and graduation cords, are available for seniors who give.

Marist Athletics offers several giving opportunities, including:

See Her Rise Challenge
A $50 boost for donations of $23 or more to women’s varsity programs, up to $5,000.

Red Fox Club Track & Turf Match
A dollar-for-dollar match up to $5,000 to support fundraising for the new track and turf field on North Campus.

23 Challenge
Teams compete for tiered awards from a $15,000 prize pool based on donor participation.

Donor & Advocate Incentives

To show appreciation for donor and advocate generosity, special incentives are available throughout the Day of Giving.

Donor Incentives

• Fox Socks: The first 2,000 donors giving $100 or more receive an exclusive pair designed by fashion student Ryann Lambert ’26.
  • Discounted price for current students who give $20.25 or more to receive a pair.
• Parent Power Hour: Parents giving $100 or more during designated hours will earn a coupon for their student to enjoy:
  • A free small drink or a $5 coupon at Saxbys.
• Senior Class Gifts: Members of the Class of 2025 can claim:
  • A Class of 2025 sticker with a $5 or more gift.
  • Graduation cords and a sticker with a $20.25 or more gift.

Advocate Rewards
Supporters who encourage others to give can earn exclusive Marist gear:

• Generate 5 gifts and receive a Marist University shield magnet (Seniors receive a Marist soda can glass).
• Generate 10 gifts and earn 20% off at MPorium.
• Top Advocates and earn Marist swag and MPorium gift cards.
