Celebrating Homecoming & Reunion Weekend
October 29, 2024 - Homecoming & Reunion Weekend brought alumni home to reconnect with fellow Red Foxes over sports, music, food, and festivities. The weekend was filled with events, football game tailgating, and unique alumni honors. It’s always a special time when Red Foxes come back to campus.
“I have an obvious fondness for this place,” said Max Schemitsch '19, who returned this weekend to celebrate his five-year reunion. “The people at Marist are one of a kind. I still talk to my housemates daily, and I met my fiancé here, too. I have such lasting memories of Marist. It’s great to be back for this amazing reunion weekend.”

Tenney Stadium was center stage Saturday. Sean Stellato '02, a former Marist football and basketball player and now a sports agent, was honored at the game against Valparaiso. The founder of Stellato Sports, known for his signature fedora, received a framed replica of his Marist jersey from students, and fans received Marist-branded fedoras to join in the fun.
On Friday, Stellato joined Dean Jacqueline Reich and Dr. Andrew Elrick from the School of Communication and the Arts for a chat inside Fusco Recital Hall to discuss his career, Marist memories, and the Italian fashion influences behind his brand.

On Friday night, Marist proudly recognized and celebrated three extraordinary alumni with the 2024 Alumni Association Awards. Dedication, hard work, and a passion for giving back were all shared characteristics among this year’s award recipients. While each of their stories is uniquely inspiring, they collectively embody the Marist values of service and community.
