WIFLE Partnership
Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE) promotes gender equity through its leadership education center that provides training, research, scholarships, awards, and networking opportunities in partnership with law enforcement agencies, members, and supportive sponsors. They value communication, collaboration, and credibility as an effective leadership style while maintaining a commitment to the highest ethical standards.
WIFLE aims to assist federal agencies to recruit, retain, and train women in federal law enforcement, identify federal agency barriers to hiring, promoting, and retaining women in the law enforcement professions, and to enhance the image of women in federal law enforcement in the communities they serve.
Marist recognizes the importance of providing affordable educational opportunities. WIFLE members, along with their immediate adult family members, will receive the following benefits:
- A tuition discount on eligible graduate and adult undergraduate degree programs. For our complete list of eligible programs and discounted pricing visit our eligible programs and pricing page.
- Options for Full-Time and Part-Time Master's and Bachelor's degree programs offered 100% online, in-class or a mix of both.
- Enjoy state of the art classrooms for our Bachelor’s and Master’s programs offered on our Main Campus in Poughkeepsie, NY. We also offer a classroom-based MPA option at our satellite locations in Queens, NY, and Albany, NY.
Eligibility
WIFLE members and their immediate adult family members must show proof of membership in order to qualify for the partnership tuition rate.
Adult undergraduate students are defined as students who began their Marist academic career at age 22 or older and who are applying through the office of Adult Undergraduate Admission. Graduate students are those students who are initiating an application for a stand-alone masters degree through the Office of Graduate Admission.
Final determination of eligibility is made by Marist College.

Marist College Online Master of Public Administration (MPA) Degree Program
We offer two start dates for this online program. Apply by December 1 to start in January or apply by August 1 to start in September.
Marist College has offered the MPA degree since 1980 and, for over 20 years, has partnered with law enforcement agencies in New York State. As part of the academic partnership between Marist College and WIFLE, the MPA will be delivered as an online degree program to assist personnel who are unable to attend traditional courses at our satellite locations or prefer the convenience of online learning.
MPA Program Structure
Marist’s MPA degree program meets the needs of the busy law enforcement professional by combining accelerated scheduling and a reduced pricing structure with the flexibility and convenience of Marist’s online course delivery system. Students in this program represent a diverse mix of law enforcement and criminal justice professionals from local, state, and federal agencies throughout the nation. This combination of experience provides for an intensely rich and beneficial learning experience and allows students the opportunity to widen their professional networks.
The MPA program is comprised of 39-42 credits of graduate coursework (13-14 courses). Students with less than two years of work experience in the public or non-profit sectors will be required to complete a Public Administration internship. All MPA courses are eight weeks in length and offered Spring, Summer, and Fall. Semester breaks are included. The entire graduate degree program can be completed in just over two years.
