Admitted Student Days Showcase the Marist Experience
March 30, 2023 – Admitted Student Days are approaching and give prospective students and families a chance to experience a “day in the life” at Marist. These full-day programs take place in April for admitted undergraduate students who would enter Marist this fall and give families a chance to explore educational opportunities and student life on campus while connecting with current students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Families will also get to explore the scenic riverfront campus, eat in the dining hall, and get a feel for life as a Red Fox through campus tours, breakout sessions, and panel discussions.
Faculty from each department and Deans from each of Marist’s six academic Schools showcase the College’s distinctive academic experience, from classroom instruction to experiential learning opportunities. Marist’s student resources will also be on display, with representatives from student service offices around campus and student clubs and organizations helping give a peek into life outside the classroom.
Breakout sessions will provide a deeper dive into a number of topics, including student life panels, the first-year experience, study abroad, and more. Campus tours will run throughout the day visiting our dining hall, library, residence halls, and academic facilities. Students and families will have an opportunity to learn about the new Dyson Center, set to open next year, which is expected to become a centerpiece of the student learning and living experience on campus.
“Admitted Student Days are campus-wide events with hundreds of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and current Marist parents involved,” said Kent Rinehart, Dean of Admission at Marist. “They are an ideal opportunity for prospective families to explore campus, meet our welcoming community, and learn why Marist students are among the happiest in the country. The Marist community cannot wait to meet the Class of 2027!”
Admitted Student Days are set for April 1, 2, and 15. Admitted students can register for the session that is best for them as similar programs are set up on each day. For April 1 and 2, program leaders from Marist’s nationally recognized first-year abroad programs in Florence and Dublin will be on campus to speak to admitted students.
