Message to Marist Italy Students Regarding Coronavirus, February 25, 2020

Dear families,

As an update to yesterday’s message to students and parents, I wanted to reach back out to share a message that was sent to students today.

I understand that this can be a stressful time considering the evolving situation in Italy related to novel coronavirus cases. The safety and security of Marist students remains our top priority.

We are currently working with Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici (LdM) in relation to any changes to the program that may need to be made. We will be back in touch with any updates as soon as they are available. Our goal is always to make decisions that are well-thought out, workable, and supportive of both student health and the academic experience. As always, we prioritize health and safety, operate with an abundance of caution, and in full appreciation of the recommendations of the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Again, I will be back in touch with any updates.

Best regards,

John Peters
