Marist Online Programs Top U.S. News Rankings
The MBA, MPA, and adult Bachelor’s degree completion program were recognized.
January 14, 2020—Three of Marist College’s online offerings were ranked in U.S. News’ “Best Online Education Program” lists for 2020.
Marist has long been a leader in distance learning. “Marist was an early adopter of the online model,” said Sean P. Kaylor, Vice President for Enrollment, Marketing and Communication. “The College is committed to innovation and the online format benefits a variety of students—including working adults—by delivering flexible, rigorous, and efficient programs that lead to career-enhancing degrees. The lifetime value of a college degree has been well-documented; it is imperative to offer higher education opportunities that are widely accessible.”
The innovative online Bachelor’s degree program in Professional Studies was ranked #58. This program allows adult learners to use previously earned credits and life experience to finish their education. “
Two online graduate programs in Marist’s School of Management were also recognized for excellence. The graduate program in business (non-MBA), the Master’s in Public Administration, moved up to #55, and the Master’s in Business Administration is #83 in its category. To develop the graduate program rankings, U.S. News considered five general categories: student excellence, student engagement, student services and technology, faculty credentials and training, and peer reputation. The bachelor’s program ranking considered engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials and training, and the expert opinions of high-ranking academic officials. This compact yet comprehensive general management curriculum forms the heart of this accelerated bachelor’s degree completion programs. It is designed to combine the insights of our faculty with guidance from practicing professionals.
Marist’s Online Business Graduate Programs
Marist offers a 100% online Master’s Degree in Public Administration. The MPA program features distinct areas of concentration to choose from, including ethical leadership, healthcare administration, public management, analytics, and nonprofit management. The MPA program is accredited by NASPAA (Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration), the recognized global accreditor for graduate programs in public policy, public affairs, public administration, and public & nonprofit management. In 2018, Marist launched a Master’s in Professional Accountancy program.

Marist’s Online MBA
Marist launched New York State's first AACSB-accredited 100%-online MBA program in 1998, one of the first such programs in the nation. The AACSB is the premier business school accrediting body. Also known as the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, it accredits less than five percent of business programs worldwide.
