Celebrate Marist University Day

Join us on January 29, 2025, as we officially become Marist University! With a full day of exciting celebrations, activities, and giveaways, this historic event is sure to make you proud to be a Red Fox.  Celebrations include:

Watch Live!

Can’t make it to campus? Studying abroad this semester? No problem, you can still participate in this historic day. We will livestream the 11 a.m. program on www.marist.edu, which will include remarks from President Kevin Weinman, unveiling of an 8-foot model of our new logo, and the debut of our new commercial.

Get Your "Marist Passport" and Win Big Prizes

Everyone who attends in person can pick up a Marist University Day "Passport" when they arrive for the 11 a.m. kick-off celebration in the Dyson Center. Collect a total of three (3) stamps in your passport while participating in the Dyson Experiential Learning Expo (11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and McCann Block Party (4 - 7 p.m.), and you’ll be eligible to win one of three prizes.

You can choose which prize to enter to win: 

  • Marist swag pack
  • $250 gift card to Grubhub 
  • Semester of free books from the Marist Bookstore

How to win:
You must visit all three Passport Stamp Stations.

  • Stamp #1 – Dyson Center second floor
  • Stamp #2 – Dyson Center third floor
  • Stamp #3 – McCann main entrance lobby

Once you’ve collected all 3 stamps, turn in your Passport in McCann by 6:30 p.m. at the Passport Collection Station outside the Turf Gym and choose which prize you want to enter to win. Winners will be announced at 7 p.m. at the conclusion of the Block Party.

"New Beginnings Unveiled" - Official University Kickoff

11:00 - 11:30 a.m. ET
Dyson Atrium

Kick off Marist University Day with a short program in the Dyson atrium featuring remarks by President Kevin Weinman and special guests. Marist’s Florence campus will engage in the festivities live via a big screen; we’ll unveil an 8-foot model of Marist’s new logo; and debut a new commercial that will be part of Marist's national storytelling campaign. This portion of the event also will be livestreamed via Marist’s web site so anyone is the Marist community worldwide can participate.

"Engage in Serious Learning" - an Experiential Learning Expo

11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. ET
Dyson Center - Floors 1-3

An Experiential Learning Expo will showcase a variety of innovative hands-on experiences that make Marist so distinctive. There will be Marist University merchandise giveaways ― while supplies last ― and refreshments will be served. Activities include:

Discover how AI technology is transforming medical training and preparing students for success in the healthcare field.

Submit ideas for a new McCann Arena court design that will be installed this summer. This interactive experience invites you to leave your mark on campus while showcasing the spirit of the Marist community.
