Marist Online Programs Among Top in U.S. News Rankings
January 25, 2023 — Marist College has once again been ranked among the best in the country in degree-granting online programs by U.S. News and World Report. The rankings recognize the College’s programs for online graduate studies in business and its online bachelor programs, specifically noting Marist’s fully online and accredited Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) program and the College’s undergraduate online programs, which include pathways through the School of Professional Programs.
Marist’s MBA program is AACSB-accredited and 100% online, and was one of the first such programs in the nation when it launched. The program has long been considered among the best in the country, featuring a high-quality and accessible education that provides students with valuable tools to thrive in some of the world’s most demanding professional settings. Recently, Marist began an accelerated 14-month MBA program for qualified candidates, with restructured courses from 15-weeks to 8-weeks in length, allowing greater flexibility for part-time students.
“Our MBA program gives students the tools they need to thrive in business, which could mean being a top performer at an enterprise, managing teams for an organization of their choice, or leading and growing their own company,” said Dr. Will Lamb, Dean of Marist’s School of Management. “Marist students learn how to navigate an ever-changing economy, stay on top of current industry trends, and gain the knowledge and confidence they need to propel their career forward.”
Marist features a number of other master’s level online programs, including degrees in Information Systems, Computer Science, Education and Integrated Marketing and Communication.
The School of Professional Programs specializes in undergraduate degree completion, professional certification, and executive level training in online and on-ground formats for the busy adult student. Two fully online undergraduate degrees through the School of Professional Programs include both Professional Studies and Management Studies*. Both majors are designed for adult students seeking degree completion, as well as students looking to start their degree at Marist.
The School also offers dual degree/program options, while students are pursuing their Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies or Professional Studies. Students may concurrently earn credits towards a Master of Public Administration or an Advanced Certificate in Business Analytics.
U.S. News and World Report considers four general categories for its rankings, including student engagement, student services and technology, faculty credentials and training, and peer reputation.
*Note: As of the Fall of 2023, Management Studies is no longer offered.
