Recognizing Women’s History Month at Marist

Michelle Eggink, Assistant Director of Content Marketing & Communications

Women’s History Month celebrates the many contributions women have made to American society, culture, and history at large, including the push for equal access to jobs, education, and opportunity. Throughout March, we honor women of the past, uplift women in the present, and encourage future generations of female leaders.

“As we reflect on and celebrate Women’s History Month, we must remember that women cannot be reduced to their societal roles, struggles, and status,” said Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Dr. Edward Antonio. Women are more than just an identity, a category, or a role. They embody resilience, intelligence, care, love, courage, professionalism, empathy, and much more. Their successes, triumphs, and achievements in whatever role, speak to us about how they model what it means to be human. This is why we should celebrate women every day.”
