Fostering Creativity for Faculty and Student Success

As Marist University's chief academic officer, the Provost and Dean of Faculty provides leadership and vision for academic affairs at an institution where the liberal arts, experiential learning, study abroad, and professional education inform an array of undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs. Partnering with School Deans, faculty, and academic staff, the Provost guides initiatives to support faculty development, enhance student success, and ensure enriching academic experiences at our campuses in Poughkeepsie, New York and Florence, Italy.

New Faculty Arrive for 2024-25 Academic Year

In August, Marist welcomed 38 new full-time faculty across all six academic schools. This was the second straight year Marist welcomed more than 30 new full-time faculty members.

"This dynamic cohort embodies our mission to improve the world through education," said Dr. Addrain Conyers, Assistant Provost for Faculty Development. "They have the intellect, character, and skills to cultivate tomorrow's leaders while modeling the enlightened, ethical, and productive lives we want our students to emulate. It's rewarding to see Marist 100 in action."
